We went to Brussels this week. They really do have good chocolates and waffles. The buildings are beautiful. Maaret says it's a lot like Italy.

Thetford Forest Playground
This is a giant spider-like web that you climb.
You wind the swings up counter clockwise and then they go crazy.
We did find out the hard way why they padded the pole !!
GIANT tire swing.
So there is this forest that they have put all this GIANT playground equipment in. It's so neat. They have stuff on the ground and also an obstacle course in the trees made out of tight ropes.

Lavenham, UK
Notice the name of the road, its HALL RD :)
Crooked houses
Lavenham Perish Church
The crooked man house. He really lived here.
Another crooked house.
There was a crooked man
who walked a crooked mile,
he found a crooked sixpence
upon a crooked stile,
he bought a crooked cat,
which caught a crooked mouse,
and they all lived together
in a little crooked house.
We went to Levenham, England. It was a midevil town in the 15th Century. The poem about the crooked man came from here, he lived in the Skinny pink house. They did not build them crooked on purpose, it just happened after time. Now there is a law in England, that if you build a house in a small town in England, you will have to make it appear as if it fits in. So in this area, you would have to make it appear crooked.
This is also where the Jane Taylor wrote the 1st verse to "Twinkle, twinkle little star" in 1786.

Zugspitze Mtn, Germany

Nice carving mare!

Hi Mary~~~

The snowboarding gang.

Emma and Maggie took a few runs down the hill on a sled while we waited for the others we snowboarding.

This is me and Emma at the top of the mountian.

Here is Dave snowboarding down a run.

He loved it.

Jerry snowboarding.
This is Zugspitze Mountian in Germany. It is the tallest peak in Germany. It is almost 3000 meters (about 10,000 feet). They made the ski runs on the top of the peak, on top of a Glacier. Its so beautiful. There are really cool mountian peaks all around.
Cheese anyone??

Here we are at the cheese factory, it was so stinky! It was actually hard to breath. Then we got to sample the cheese. It takes 40 liters of milk to make 4 lbs of cheese. The cows produce 3000 liters a day. Dave and Emma didn't like most of the cheeses. They did however, love the yogurt. This lady that sat across from us at the table, we did not know her, but she did eat Dave's plate because he didn't like it. It was funny, she didn't care that he had already eaten off of it.

This is my cheese tray.

Emma didn't last through dinner, although she wasn't sure why they had to "connect" the hot dogs!

Dave fell asleep before dinner even got to the table.

Look mum, we found Aldi!!! It is set up exactly how it was in the midwest! Funny.

Garmisch, Germany
This is what Dave did in every airport the whole time.... Just sit by the window and watch the planes and luggage. It took us 4 flights, 1 subway, 1 train and 1 taxi to get to garmisch.
Emma made a snow care bear while waiting for the train.
We went to Garmisch, Germany to the Edelweiss Ski resort. We visited the monestary called Ettal. It is still in use.
There some pictures of us waiting for the train that takes us up the mountian to the highest point almost 3000 meters in Germany, Zugspitze (Bavarian Alps).

Random chunks of our lives for the last month or so....
These are the balloons that Mary delivered to Dave's school for his B-day.
The pumkins that Dave and Emma carved THEMSELVES!!!
Here is the Mama and baby moose in our raspberry bushes, Emma was so excited she was hoping they ate all the berries, she was tired of picking them.
Here is Dave, he is posing in the "WAX museum" that they did at school, they had research a person and then posed as a wax character for the other children in the school so they could visit the museum. It was really cute. Dave was Charles Lindberg.
