Anne Capistrant Bib # 88 2008 Iditarod

We got to meet Anne Capistrant # 88. She was very nice. She let dave and emma help feed the dogs. This is what they learned when they helped Anne feed the dogs.......
They mix the water and food together for a few reasons.

1- To eat fast as not to lose time on the trail during pit stops.
2- Also it's mixed to speed eating time before it freezes!
3- To eat fast so at camp so they can go right to sleep.
4- They mix the the food and water so ensure they get the water in, if they keep them seperate, sometimes they dont want to eat and drink, (kinda like people.......just because we need water doesn't mean we drink it) The dogs were very pretty and lots of fun to see.

Looks like you guys have quite the life there in Alaska. Maybe we'll join you Alaskans in a couple years! (Jared would LOVE to go there for residency - I'm not so sure. Do they have soccer or baseball there? Hockey seems so scary!)

Love,
Gil
